The Kids Are Alright
Guys my age, and I think all ages, really, are plagued by toy sections. We wander amongst the shelves, pretending not to look, much like in the adult section of a video shop, but as soon as we're convinced nobody can see, we start looking at ray guns and squirty things and action figures and toy cars with undisguised longing. I think it's a travesty that...

She told him the ship would be leaving soon before going up to her room and getting her things...

Who Is Little Lotte? Discovering the Mystery Character in The Phantom of The Opera
One of the more inexplicable details in the movie version of The Phantom of the Opera consists of Christine confessing to her friend Meg that when she and Raoul were children, he nicknamed her Little Lotte. Lotte was a common diminutive nickname for Charlotte, not Christine. It seems that the dialogue was added simply to explain to the audience why they then sing a duet about Little Lotte. But who was Little Lotte, really?

Auditions Made Redundant
This is one of a series of articles I wrote for a friend's website that never got off the ground. It may not speak volumes about life, love or the universe, and it was really only written as an exercise, but it seemed a shame to waste any of these pieces.

How to Develop a Killer News Hook
When you are going to write a press release probably the most important thing you can do is create a killer news hook. A press release without a news hook is just blatant advertising, plain and simple. There is nothing that turns off journalists more than a press release that's just advertising, and when you turn them off, they're often off for good.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy had the potential to be the best movie of the year. And yes, I sincerely mean that. Really, look at all it had going for it: it's based on a classic book that has a cult following that could rival the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The Peculiar Case of: Thomas Manning's Justice [Part two of two parts]
A short story of poetic Justice: Thomas Manning now lay face down in the back ally with the garbage. If anything, whom ever knocked on the door, did it just in time, surely them pool sticks were to be used should that knock on that door not have occurred; it would had been too tempting not to use them at the high point of the battle, especially after he messed up all three of the men, or was it four, possible five men...

The Tiamat and the King [Chapters 1& 2 of Six Chapters]
Mr. Dennis Siluk started a series of stories of the Tiamat, finishing three books, and left this tale undone; which was to be a forth book, never completed; thus here we got the whole story of Sinned, and the last days of the Tiamat, complete now, and it may, or may not ever be put into a book, so who knows, maybe you will be the only ones to see the ending. It was 4-years in the making of these last six chapters, here are two. He was not even going to allow these chapters to be released in fear he might change them or destroy them, but I talked him into it. The Tiamat series sold thousands of copies a few years ago. and I've had a few dozen request overt he years to have him finish the series, and this is as close as I can get him to do it. Rosa
