Choices
You can do and you can be
whatever you want.
You have the power,
and the right,
to make the changes.
Superman
There are many talented poets on my site who write acrostic or name poetry. I was deeply moved by the death of Christopher Reeve and thought I would take a stab at a name poem in his honor.
Two Middling Poems: September Grass & The Stage
It is the first time I've ever heard him use "Middling," or put it in on a title, I hope the last time also...these are two deep poems with real vintage in them,I like them, even though I have to find all the voices. Dennis used to be a paper boy back in those far off youthful years. Perhaps he is still looking for those wings he left behind; I hope not. Rosa
Asha of Darfur [A poem with a commentary by the author]
Here again is another political poem I feel; again a little unusual for Mr. Dennis Siluk, but then we write what we have to I suppose, if it is on the tip of ones tongue. It has a commentary by the author also, which helps explain where he is coming from. Rosa Penaloza
Five Poems from Home [And a view on the planet vs. the poet]
Five Poems from Home, or at least close to home; and a short, very short essay on the planet vs. the poet; more on the order of a think-view.
Four Poems: Two for the Devil, Two for Peru
Here is some witty poetry, one poem on the Aztec year 2012, a year that has been in the public's eye a quite a lot; one on cloning, and the biblical end time events; two poems dealing with some tradtions of Peru, all the makings for some thought.
The Time Has Come and Buzzing
The time has come the poem said, for you to write that I might be read, and so I took my pen in hand and wrote the words at its command.
Two Poems and an Analysis [‘Witness,' & ‘An Old Love']
Here are two more poems, both different in their focus, poetic emphasis; both short poems, but enought to give a distinctive effect. The tone is of special importance. An analysis comes along with the two poems, not on Mr. Siluk's poems, for that is for someone else to do, but on how he looks at times on other poems, recognizing the combination of different elements.
